The operation that we run in the UK; our office, travel, marketing etc has a direct impact upon the environment. In addition the overseas and UK production that we undertake on behalf of our clients also has an impact upon the environment. It is our aim to minimise this as much as we can and this policy outlines our strategy in order to achieve this goal.
This policy should not be viewed as a definitive answer, but as a policy for continuous improvement.
Guiding principles
- Senior Management sets out the responsibility for environmental performance and manages this on an ongoing basis.
- Business is conducted with respect for the environment
- Employees are made aware of Magnetic’s Environmental Policy
- Implementation of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” throughout our business activities
- Working with consultants we will evaluate the “carbon footprint” of our business, with the intention being to reduce and offset our carbon emissions across our entire business system.
- Minimise the consumption of raw materials used in both our UK and overseas manufacturing
- Throughout our operations, minimise the use of energy and water by operating efficiently
- Wherever possible use materials which have the least impact upon the environment
- Encourage suppliers to operate in an environmentally responsible manner
- Encourage our customers support, by offering them products and services that are environmentally responsible.
